SUN: Sagittarius
MOON: Capricorn

Joe Lando has the SUN and MARS conjunct in Sagittarius.
That's a lot of energy and it gets directed outward.
With MERCURY also in Sagittarius, his thoughts are always on what's over the next hill. He probably has a personal theory about everything; a born corner-store philosopher. Matters of fairness are most likely very important to him. Unfairness to him or his friends is guaranteed to raise his ire. I wouldn't be surprised if in younger, less famous days he's been in a fistfight or two in defense of a buddy. With MERCURY also squaring URANUS his opinions could come across as eccentric. He could also be prone to outbursts of opinion when people least expect it. Someone with a Sag MERCURY (and SUN and MARS) is already pretty blunt about what he thinks. The connection to URANUS makes this even more so. He just comes out with whatever is on his mind. This might even include rather pointed advice about how "You" should change and rearrange "Your" life to be a better person.(MERCURY square PLUTO) He can play lawyer, judge and jury for any problem. And he really wants to help. Sometimes he follows his own advice.

Now all this doesn't mean his skin is as thick as that of his friends and family. His Capricorn MOON indicates a great need to excel and to be noticed for his achievements. He may not always think he is doing as well as he is. It's tough because with the Capricorn MOON he needs some security; the knowledge that he is operating from a good, solid foundation. He is very ambitious (Cap MOON and SUN/MARS) which brings up the conflict of wanting to do right by people but also having to leave them behind to succeed. He knows how to grab an opportunity. The Cardinality of Capricorn and the fire of Sagittarius show that he can act quickly on a good career move. The earth of Capricorn helps him to handle the practicalities that bores his adventurous Sagittarian energy. He can strive. With SATURN in Capricorn there is a tremendous need to be an obvious success, yet there is always the feeling that he's not there yet.

Losing the show must be very hard on him. He is identified with the character he played so type-casting problems are sure to follow him for a while. "Oh wow. It's Sully." With the SUN of the Dr. Quinn show chart on his MOON, he probably put a lot of his private emotions into the part. The character gave him a chance to play out some of his chart in ways the almost 21st century certainly frustrates. SUN/MARS/MERCURY in Sagittarius shows a very physical, dynamic, opinionated person. What fun to play a frontier man. This might have been a very fulfilling game of pretend for Joe Lando.
